I agree and disagree with the statement that family unhappiness or tragedy can cause big problems for a student at school. Recently I have lost someone in my family who I was extremely close to. I agree with the statement because if someone a person truly loves passes away, it is sometimes hard to accomplish schoolwork, mostly at home. At home, a person can see pictures of the loved one while they are doing their homework. It can bring back flashbacks of the happy times the student spent with the person that passed away. It could also make them so sad that they do not feel like doing any work, which could affect a student's homework grade as well as a quiz or a test grade. If the student has had a rough day at school and wants to come home and talk to their loved one who has passed away about their friends, hard homework, or a test or quiz that they are worried about, they cannot. They lose the comfort that the loved one had provided them when the student was in a hard situation. This could affect the student's hope and get them even more riled up about what they were upset about or it could remind them of something totally different that is also not good!
However, all hope is not lost. I disagree with the original statement that says that family unhappiness or tragedy can cause big problems for a student at school, because while the student is actually in school, as well as outside too, they have the caring support of their friends and teachers. These friends and teachers can make the student laugh, so that they will be able to take their mind off of the subject of the loss of their loved one and just goof around. It does not have to be friends and teachers who support the student. Other family members can help the student out as well by supporting them and always being there to help the student and vice versa.
I really like what Diana said in her post about how she does not care about what people think of her. I think that is such a great quality to have and is something that everyone should have! Everyone should live their life and act the way they want to in order to be happy!
