I'm right, you're wrong, and if you disagree you're going to hell

The right to think is hard to describe because it’s not protected by any law and is impossible to completely deny a person. Besides, how would you define not having the right to think? I can’t even control what’s going on in my head let alone other people.

It does seem though, that as a part of human nature, we want to make others believe what we believe. Many people are too arrogant to get past the notion that their perspective is right and everyone else is wrong. Christianity demonstrates this vigorously by stating that if you do not believe in what Christians believe, you are going to hell. As far as accepting the thoughts and religions of others, Judaism is much more mature. It’s important to note that despite what your social studies teacher may have said, Judaism does not claim there is only one god. From a Jewish standpoint, all of the Egyptian and Hindu gods could exist simultaneously with Buddha and Chuck Norris down under the sea in Atlantis. Even though in your mind something may be true, don’t hate on others for not agreeing with you. There’s no single “right” way to look at things and trying to force others to think how you do is taking your ego a step too far.

I am trying to control your thoughts right now. Can you tell?
